West Bengal Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025: The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) invites applications for the 2nd State Level Selection Test (SLST) for recruitment of Assistant Teachers for Classes IX-X (Secondary) and Classes XI-XII (Higher Secondary) in Government Aided/Sponsored Schools of West Bengal. There are a total of 35,726 vacancies. Interested candidates can apply for this post from 16th June to 14th July. The written examination may be held in the first week of September. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website westbengalssc.com. It is advisable for all eligible and interested candidates to read the official notification carefully.

WBSSC SLST Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian Citizens only
Age Limit (as on 01 Jan 2025):
- Minimum 21 years, Maximum 40 years
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 8 years for PH
Educational Qualification:
- For Classes IX-X:
  - Graduate/Post Graduate with 50% marks + B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution
  - OR 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from NCTE recognized institution
- For Classes XI-XII:
  - Post Graduate with 50% marks + B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution
  - OR Post Graduate with 50% marks + B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from NCTE recognized institution
- 5% relaxation in marks for reserved categories
Medium of Instruction: Bengali/English/Hindi/Nepali/Oriya/Santhali/Telugu/Urdu
