Goa SSC Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for GSSC recruitment can be divided on the basis of educational qualification and age limits. A candidate must meet the eligibility criteria for this recruitment. The eligibility criteria of GSSC recruitment are as follows:
Education Qualification: Educational qualification for each of the posts is different. For example, for Accountant, a Bachelor of Commerce from any recognised university is required. For Assistant Tax Officer, a bachelor's degree from any recognized university is required. Therefore, candidates are instructed to read the official notification for detailed educational qualifications for these posts. However, knowledge of Marathi is desirable for all the posts.
Age Limit (as on 08/08/2025): The maximum age limit of a candidate must not exceed 45 years. However, age relaxation is applicable for the reserved categories as per the government norms. Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD.

GSSC Selection Process
Eligible candidates have to go through the GSSC selection process as mentioned in the official notification. First, a candidate has to appear for the CBT test, then the physical test (which is not for all the posts), and lastly, document verification. Physical Standards
As we mentioned, the physical standard is not required for all the posts. It is only applicable for the State Tax Inspector post. We have provided the physical standards for both male and female candidates below.
- For State Tax Inspector (Male): Height: 167 cm, Chest: 75 cm, Walking Test: 1600 meters in 20 minutes
- For State Tax Inspector (Female): Height: 158 cm, Weight: 48 kg, Walking Test: 1 km in 20 minutes
