Nursing Apprentice Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for SVIMS Nursing Apprentices Recruitment can be determined on the basis of age limits and educational qualification. We have beautifully described all the eligibility points as mentioned in the official notification. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
Education Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university. Candidates must be Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
Age Limit (as on 30.06.2025): The minimum age limit for this apprenticeship training is 21 years and the maximum age is 27 years. However, age relaxation will also be given to the reserved categories.
Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST (up to 32 years), 3 years for BC (up to 30 years), and 10 years for PwBD (up to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for BC).
Application Fee
Eligible candidates have to pay application fees as mentioned in the official notification. It varies according to the categories. EWS/SC/ST/PwBD candidates have to pay the minimum fees as compared to the General/OBC categories. SVIMS Nursing Apprentice Selection Process
Candidates who are eligible for SVIMS Nursing Apprentice have to pass the SVIMS selection process. This selection process consists of two stages. A candidate has to pass both the stages to join apprentice training. The two stages are:
- Written Test (40 MCQs, 60 minutes)
- Interview
Nursing Apprentice Exam Pattern
If we talk about the SVIMS exam pattern, we see that the written test consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry 1 mark. If we talk about the question standard, these questions are based on B.Sc. Nursing standard. However, a candidate will get 60 minutes to answer these 40 questions.
Stipend Details
During SVIMS nursing apprentice training, a candidate will receive a stipend. A candidate can also get leave as per the SVIMS rules.
- Monthly Stipend: ₹21,500 (₹4,500 from NATS + ₹17,000 from SVIMS)
- Leave: 30 days casual leave per year (pro-rata)
How to Apply for SVIMS Nursing Apprentice
SVIMS nursing apprentice form fill-up is different from other apprentice form fill-up procedures. In this case, a candidate has to follow both the online application form fill-up and offline form submission. Firstly, a candidate has to fill up the online application form through the NATS portal. After filling out the application form and paying the application fees, the candidate has to submit this form at the given address. We have described it below; candidates must read it.
- Register on the NATS portal (www.nats.education.gov.in).
- Ensure all profile details (caste, education, etc.) are correctly updated.
- Pay the application fee online (SBI, SVIMS Tirupati A/c No. 62137279189).
- Submit the filled application form along with enclosures to: The Registrar, C-fAR building, SVIMS, Alipiri Road, Tirupati - 517 507.
- Keep the NATS enrolment ID (12 digits) ready for application.
