IB Security Assistant Eligibility Criteria
If we talk about the eligibility criteria of this recruitment, then we can say a candidate who has passed the Matriculation (10th pass) exam or equivalent exam from a recognized board is eligible for this recruitment. Other than this educational qualification, the candidate also needs the domicile certificate of the applied state and knowledge of any one of the languages/dialects mentioned in the official notification. IB Security Assistant Age Limit (as on 17/08/2025): Age limits of the candidates must be between 18 and 27 years. However, age relaxation will be given as per the government rules. Age relaxations are as follows:
relaxation: SC/ST (+5 years), OBC (+3 years), Ex-Servicemen (as per norms), Central Govt. employees (up to 40 years), widows/divorced women (UR: 35, OBC: 38, SC/ST: 40).

Selection Process
Eligible candidates have to go through three stages of the selection process as mentioned in the official notification. In this article, we have covered the entire process step by step. However, the question pattern of the Tier-I exam is objective type MCQs. It also includes 1/4 negative marking for each wrong answer. - Tier-I: Online MCQ Exam (100 marks, 1 hour) on General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, and General Studies.
- Tier-II: Descriptive Translation Exam (50 marks, 1 hour) in opted language/dialect.
- Tier-III: Interview/Personality Test (50 marks).
IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern
Tier-I: 1If we talk about the Tier-I exam pattern, then we can say it is objective in nature. It includes five parts, and each part contains 20 questions of 1 mark each. It means it consists of 100 questions of 100 marks, for which a candidate will get one hour to answer all the questions.
Tier-II: Tier-II is a written exam, which means it is descriptive type. However Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. It includes the translation of a passage of 500 words from the opted language/dialect to English and vice versa. The total marks of the Tier-II exam are 50, for which a candidate will get only one hour..
Tier-III: The last stage of this selection process is the interview or personality test. The total marks for this test are 50.
