Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification: Class-VII pass candidates or equivalent from a recognized institution are eligible for this recruitment. However, preference will be given to H.S.C. or equivalent pass candidates.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025): Candidates’ age must be between 18 and 25 years. However, age relaxation will be given for Ex-Army personnel as per government rules.
Nationality: Interested candidates must be Gurkha and inhabitants of Nepal or India. Indian Gurkhas require a Residential Certificate and a Certificate of Bonafide Indian Gurkha. However, Nepalese Gurkhas must possess valid Nepalese citizenship.

Selection Process

Physical Test Details
In the physical test, candidates have to run 1.6 km in 4 to 6 minutes. Candidates also need to run a cross-country (5 km) race in 40 minutes. Candidates also need to take part in a broad jump of 3.66 meters, for which they will get only three chances. Then, in the high jump of 1.22 meters, candidates will again get only three chances.
