MDL Trade Apprentices Recruitment 2025: MDL, a premier Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, invites online applications from Indian nationals for the selection of 523 Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The apprenticeship training will be conducted at MDL's Apprentice Training School (ATS). All we know about MDL company, it is one of the companies which manufactures warships and submarines for the Indian Navy. It also builds other passenger ships and ferries. MDL Apprentices Recruitment - Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit (as on 01-10-2025):
- Group A & B: 15-19 years
- Group B: 16-21 years
- Group C: 14-18 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Divyang: 10 years
- Educational Qualification:
- Group A: 10th Pass with Science & Mathematics (minimum 50% marks for General/OBC/SEBC/EWS/Divyang/AFC, Pass Class for SC/ST)
- Group B: ITI Pass in relevant trade (minimum 50% marks for General/OBC/SEBC/EWS/Divyang/AFC, Pass Class for SC/ST)
- Group C: 8th Pass under (10+2) system with Science & Mathematics (minimum 50% marks for General/OBC/SEBC/EWS/Divyang/AFC, Pass Class for SC/ST)
- Nationality: Indian Citizen or subject of Nepal/Bhutan or Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01-01-1962

Additional Notes
- 30% horizontal reservation for women candidates
- Reservation for PwD candidates as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016
- Selected candidates must register on Apprenticeship India portal
- No hostel accommodation will be provided
- Apprentices will be entitled for leave and holidays as per Apprentices Act
- Minimum attendance requirement:
- Group A: 200 days/year (400 days total for 2 years)
- Group B: 200 days for 1 year training
- Group C: 200 days/year (400 days total for Rigger, 250 days for Welder)
- Selected candidates must submit Police Verification Report before joining
- Stipend will be paid through ECS to candidate's bank account
- PAN card is mandatory for selected candidates
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification
- Any dispute subject to jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai only
